The Toast Not Heard ‘Round the World

Ladies and Gentleman, family and friends,

Welcome to the wedding,
where Edie and my brother Marty are living proof
that it’s never too late to have a happy childhood.

I haven’t heard much about the honeymoon,
but this is what I envision:
A technical climb up Mt. McKinley
followed by a rafting trip through the Grand Canyon…
After lunch, a through hike of the Appalachian Trail followed by a bike trip across the Rocky Mountains
on a fixed gear tandem…
Then a delicious freeze dried vegetarian dinner
and capped off by a relaxing evening power walking
from Cleveland Heights to that bakery in Brooklyn, NY with the really good loaves of rye bread,
unsliced, of course.
